Kick-off meeting of E-CONTRAIL

The E-CONTRAIL project held its kick-off meeting on 13 June in Madrid, Spain. The meeting served as a momentous occasion, bringing together the project partners from Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M), KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Royal Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy, Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium, and the founder, SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking.

The participants gathered to embark on this ambitious but exciting venture: The E-CONTRAIL project stands at the forefront of innovation, aiming to revolutionize the field of aviation and sustainability. The diverse expertise brought to the table by each partner promises a comprehensive and holistic approach to tackling the ultimate challenge of minimising the impact of aviation on global warming by creating artificial neural networks for the prediction of contrails and aviation-induced cloudiness.

Here you can get to know more about the project:

The project coordinator from Carlos III University, Manuel Soler, expressed his gratitude for the important contributions made by all involved, recognizing the significance of their collective efforts in launching this SESAR3JU project.
