As the #LookUp! campaign has come to an end, we are pleased to reveal the top three photos selected as candidates for the Best Contrail Capture Award. These exceptional images not only capture the striking patterns of contrails but also contribute to advancing research on contrail prediction, with the aim of helping mitigate aviation’s climate footprint.

Captured by Emilio Iglesias, this photograph has been selected as Best Contrail Capture both for its aesthetics and technical quality, as well as for its scientific interest, since it shows different types of contrails with clarity.
The winner is invited to Europe on a trip to attend the 2025 E-CONTRAIL Workshop, an exclusive event provides the opportunity to meet leading researchers, explore advanced laboratories, and engage with experts in sustainable aviation.
